I also really like Sam, he's sympathetic and a nice addition. I love that Steve and Nat's relationsship isn't romantic, as that wouldn't work at all with these characters. Steve, Natasha and Nick are all great characters with their own struggles, while also being very likeable, and they also have excellent chemistry. The movie also does a great job with its characters. The pacing is solid, the plot advances in a very natural way, and the movie sets up its important plot points ahead of time to make the movie more enjoyable on rewatches. It also presents its themes of trust and morality in a solid and thoughtful way.

I love the spy thriller astethic the movie presents, and it complements the more straight forward action very well. The plot is well thought out and realized, complete with great twists and turns to keep you on your toes. There is so much to love about the movie it's hard to name it all. This movie, unlike that one, is well constructed, written, acted and directed. It laid the foundation to further produce superhero films that would eventually lead to the formation of Avengers.Oh man, was it good to get back to a great movie again after Thor: The Dark World. Overall, the film has proven out to become quite a success for Marvel by crossing over $370 million at the box office.

The soundtrack was released by Walt Disney Records on 19 th July 2011. It also featured an original song as well called Star Spangled Man. The main theme for this film was composed by Alan Silvestri. In addition, the company used control rigs which helped them speed up shooting and in-turn, save cost on production. Lola Visual Effects, the company behind the magic, explains how that transformation was a combination of digital effect techniques.Īccording to Lola VFX supervisor Edson Williams, around 5% of the shots consisted of Evan’s head being placed on a body double but the majority of the shots were taken by digitally shrinking Evans’ body and face whilst capturing each shot 3 times. However, the most iconic scene, arguably, is the one where Rogers transforms from a weakling into a superhuman and the reason behind it being the magic of visual effects. The First Avenger has many moments that left its viewers with their jaws wide open. The film ends as it is revealed that Rogers wakes up at a hospital where he is told that he has been asleep for the past 70 years. At the same time, the plane carrying Rogers crashes into the Arctic as he is unable to be found.
